The man behind the camera
Right then, a bit about me (I won't try to bore you too much).
I was born and raised in the South East and come from a large family.

In 2019, I moved to Derby with my wife Anya and we got hitched in 2022. A couple of years later, we greeted our little girl Isabella into the world. Oh, we also can't forget our little cat Polly! You can see my beautiful family below.
​
I love being active and exploring the outdoors, however I am also partial to a few pints with friends at the pub, or just chilling with my girls eating copious amounts of pizza and chocolate, whilst watching a good film.

Oh of course I can't forget, I also love photography... especially wedding photography.

My photography journey started way waaaay back when I was a young lad, when my uncle gifted me his classic film camera. I was never seen without it.
I eventually went to college and studied media where I learned all the tricks of the trade. Now here I am.

I started Photos by Michael in 2021 and it's one of the best things I have ever decided to do. Quite simply, I love weddings! So the fact I get to go to them AND take a bunch of photos for couples so they can cherish and remember their big day really does mean the world to me.
It's easy to say photography is my biggest passion.

I will never tire of the way a photo can take you straight back to a special moment, that's why I became a wedding photographer.

My personal choice of camera is the Sony A7. I have a couple of them and they are a cracking piece of kit, which are a bit of a favourite amongst many professional photographers.
​
They are the market leaders in mirrorless full frame technology and capture photos in high resolution. When paired with high quality lenses they produce stunning images.
​
That's all a bit boring isn't it - the main thing is, you will have banging photos!
